Bring Joy with Stamping

This gift bag is great because you can make a bunch of them and store them for later as needed.

Paper sizes:

2 pieces of designer series paper 12” x 12”

2 pieces of ribbon cut 13”

2 pieces of whisper card stock cut 7 7/8” x 1 1/2”.

Product List

  1. With both pieces of designer series paper, place them on the score board or in your trimmer. With the design facing you score at 1 1/2” but only 3/4 of the way down or to the 7 1/2” mark. Now score at 3” through both pieces and 11” through both pieces all the way down. Turn your paper so the bottom is to your right and score both pieces at 3”. Next take one sheet out and score at 4 1/2” all the way down. Take out of the trimmer and add the other piece with the bottom at your right and score at 4 1/2” but only on the 1” section and the 1  1/2” section to the 3” score line.
  2. With both pieces together and the bottom down, cut up the 1” section and cut off. Then cut up the other score line to the first score line and wedge out.
  3. With your bone folder and a ruler, take the two pieces of paper and make sure they are even. On the right there should be a rectangle about 3/4” down, make a score a line from the top center line, to the side, forming an up side down V, and folding the score lines.
  4. Now add tear and tape to the 1” score line on both pieces. {Be sure it’s on the top part of the bag not the inside}.
  5. With the outsides facing down and the flat side towards you, tape them both together with the tear and tape.
  6. For the handles measure 2” in from each inner score line and add a small piece of tear and tape. Add the ribbon ends to each and secure with the 7 7/8” x 1 1/2” piece of card stock.

7. Now fold over the left side and secure the opposite side to the tear and tape.

8. Turn the bag up side down and fold in one large side, fold over the two small

flaps and secure with tear and tape.  Then adhere down the last flap with

tear and tape and cut off anything that hangs over.

9. Lastly stand the bag up and fold all  score lines in to have it fold flat.
