Happy Birthday Rose Card

image

This beautiful rose card used a dry embossing technique and is pretty easy to do. You could make this card for any occasion and can be easily modified with any embossing folder.

Product List

Instructions:
1. Cut black card stock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and then score it at 4 1/4″. Fold on the score line and this makes the base of your card. Next cut 2 pieces of whisper white card stock that measures 4″ x 5 1/4″ one goes on the inside and wrap the other one in tin foil adhering the back with snail. Now run that piece through the big shot with the embossing folder of your choice and adhere this too the card base.
2. With a piece of basic black card stock and the large rose from the rose garden thinlets. Run it through the big shot and then adhere it to a piece of whisper white card stock. Color in the rose and leaves, (your choice in color) cut out the rose and adhere it to the piece of card stock you did with the tin foil.
3. Use some wink of Stella to make the rose glittery and lastly stamp the saying of your choice (I used a birthday saying) on whisper white card stock and cut it out. Adhere this to the card and you are done.

3D Koi Fish

image

Do you love fish? Have no room for a pond in your yard . Well here is one cute paper koi fish you can make to decorate your home or even for a party.

Product List

Instructions:
With a piece of card stock or designer series paper cut 8 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ score the paper diagonally across from one edge to another. Fold this line and open it up again then fold each side in to the middle as if you would do when making a paper airplain.
2. Now open tham all up again and fold in half diagnally. Next
cut 1″ strips on the folded edge to the score line, doing this from
the pointed end all the way to about 2 1/2″ from the other end.
3. Put glue on one of the inside flaps and fold over to match the
outside of the other flap. This forms the body of your fish.
4. Cut out 2 green tails shamed like ovals with points and draw on
them to look like fins, and then cut out and draw on two blue
fins. Adhere these to the fish and then make two eyes
using the 1″ circle punch with white card stock and the 1/2″ circle
punch out of black card stock. Adhere these to his face and lastly
cut out a piece of card stock or designer series papers to match
the body color. Shape this like a mouth, round on one end and
flap on the other, and then adhere it to the
inside of his mouth. Bend his body a little and you could even add
other things like a bow for a girl fish and make them in many
different colors.
ENJOY!
Now that you have made your koi fish go and do some fishing. Just kidding, but be sure to check out my blog at www.bjstampingtreasures.com and be sure to sign up for my monthly newsletter.
